<p>It is almost November with the last glimmer of Indian Summer almost behind us. I am already feeling sluggish and tired from the change in season and all that it brings with it.. Dark mornings and early sunsets came by way too soon.  Through the years I have found comfort in my yoga practice during these transitional seasonal changes.  My teachers have been incorporating many twisting and standing poses into our practice.  Nothing feels better than getting an internal massage created from the body twisting releasing stress and toxins.</p>

<h3><span style="color:#008000;">Green Goddess Kale Smoothie:</span></h3>
<h3><span style="color:#008000;">2 cups of fresh Kale</span></h3>
<h3><span style="color:#008000;">1 large apple ( any sweet apple will do)</span></h3>
<h3><span style="color:#008000;">a handful of beautiful red strawberries</span></h3>
<h3><span style="color:#008000;">1 banana</span></h3>
<h3><span style="color:#008000;">1 gorgeous yellow lemon (take the skin off but leave a little of the rind it really sparks a great lemon flavor while drinking)</span></h3>
<h3><span style="color:#008000;">about 1 1/2 of water in the blender and then add everything in WITH THE SKIN ON!  You get tons of added fiber from the skins of these fruits.</span></h3>

<h2>I<span style="color:#008080;">n order to dance like Shiva we must be free of inhibitions.  Freedom is being able to stray off the weathered well known path and venture onto the unchartered waters and embracing the unknown.  in this  story Shiva creates the room for us to make positive  abundant choices and allows us to let go of fear.</span></h2>

<h2><span style="color:#008080;">Standing poses require abdominal strength as well as really being present in your practice.. Many people new to yoga have a fear of standing poses . </span></h2>
<h2><span style="color:#008080;">Truth be told depending on my mood or level of balance even after 6 years I can still wobble and fall out of my pose.  The important thing is to fall down gracefully and get right back up..  This is true of everyday challenges in life.  How many times have you attempted a task and shy away from completing  something due to just enough fear in your head? I think it happens to everyone from time to time. </span></h2>
<h2><span style="color:#008080;">  In a standing pose if you fall over what will happen?  Since yoga practice is a personal exploration of one&#8217;s self no one is looking at you at all!  The best part of being immersed in a yoga practice is that the time on the mat is yours and yours alone.</span></h2>
<h2><span style="color:#008080;">Standing poses tone and activate the torso, back, pelvis and abdominal organs, messaging the organs located there and increasing blood flow. Standing poses also invigorate the adrenal glands which produce hormones that help us tolerate many of the stresses of life. Both Extended Triangle Pose and Intense Side Stretch Pose also help in relieving menstrual disorders.</span></h2>

Her journey began as a motivating and <span id="lw_1303777644_4" class="yshortcuts">energetic group fitness instructor</span> and has evolved into a driven, passionate, and inspiring personal trainer/group fitness instructor. <h3><span style="color:#008000;">Marina started her professional career as an executive in the garment industry where she worked for many years. What initially started as a way to release some stress grew quickly into a regular gym routine and finally a strong passion.</span></h3>
<h3><span style="color:#008000;"> She began to work out several times a week with a <span id="lw_1303777721_0" class="yshortcuts" style="cursor:text;background:none repeat scroll 0 0 transparent;">personal trainer</span> and found that the benefits both physically and emotionally were beyond her expectations. At her physical peak, she decided she would help transform the lives of others the way fitness had transformed hers. </span></h3>
<h3><span style="color:#008000;">She started training clients independently in her <span id="lw_1303777721_1" class="yshortcuts" style="border-bottom:2px dotted #366388;cursor:pointer;">home gym</span> helping them attain their fitness goals. As the buzz of her results spread, she started to take on many high profile clients in their homes, before joining the other trainers at <span style="color:#800000;">JD Fitness</span>. Her philosophy has and always will be that nothing is impossible with the right mind-set, guidance, and technique.</span></h3>
<h3><span style="color:#008000;">Marina strives to create personalized routines that target the goals of each individual client whether it be endurance, strength, weight loss, flexibility or just a little encouragement to get them started. Her clients come from all backgrounds, ages, and levels of ability. She does not believe in quitting and pushes her clients to their maximum capacity.</span></h3>

<h3><span style="color:#008000;"> Sam has a B.S. degree in Exercise Science and an M.S. in Exercise Science &amp; Cardiac Rehabilitation. Sam is certified through the <span id="lw_1303777721_5" class="yshortcuts">NSCA</span> as a <span id="lw_1303777721_6" class="yshortcuts" style="border-bottom:2px dotted #366388;cursor:pointer;">Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist</span> and has been helping clients get leaner and stronger for the past fifteen years. </span></h3>
<h3><span style="color:#008000;"> Sam serves as the manager of the  <span style="color:#800000;">JD Fitness Livingston studio</span> and the speed, agility, and strength program. His passion for athletic competition has led him to a life of training to compete in a wide variety of sports including boxing, football, <span id="lw_1303777721_7" class="yshortcuts">mountain biking</span>, snowboarding, soccer, xterra triathlons, and wrestling.   </span></h3>
<h2><span style="color:#008000;">GALEN PASS:</span></h2>
<h3><span style="color:#008000;">Galen was a multi-sport athlete throughout high school, where he developed an interest in <span id="lw_1303777721_8" class="yshortcuts" style="border-bottom:2px dotted #366388;cursor:pointer;">strength and conditioning</span>, general fitness and nutrition. </span></h3>
<h3><span style="color:#008000;"> He followed his interests and pursued a degree in Health and Exercise Science at the <span id="lw_1303777721_9" class="yshortcuts">University of Oklahoma</span>, where he received his Bachelor&#8217;s of Science degree in December of 2010.  Galen is NSCA certified and works with all different populations, specializing in teen strength and conditioning.  He is the newest addition to <span style="color:#800000;">JD&#8217;s</span> team of trainers.</span></h3>

<p><strong> Amy Ippoliti travels extensively to help others bridge the gap</strong></p>

<h2>About  Kino MacGregor</h2>
<address>Kino MacGregor is one of a select group of people to receive  the Certification to teach Ashtanga Yoga by its founder Sri K. Pattabhi  Jois in Mysore, India. The youngest woman to hold this title, she has  completed the challenging Third Series and is now learning the Fourth  Series. After seven years of consistent trips to Mysore, at the age of  29, she received from Guruji the Certification to teach Ashtanga yoga  and has since worked to pass on the inspiration to practice to countless  others.
